So what was that? There was very little debate on issues that I saw! All I saw was poor speaking, issue dodging and a really poor chairman!
Who thought Jim Dougal was strong enough to run the show? Gerry Adams ran the show in the end, giving Reg Empey the go ahead to speak at one point! I couldn't stand his smug smirk that he had throughout the show either! To be honest I find it hard to listen to Adams especially when he refuses to admit that he was ever in the IRA....he said he was never invited!!!!! In West Belfast in the 60s and 70s, he was at the forefront of the Republican Movement but no one ever invited him to join the IRA!!! I think this was the biggest joke of the night. Everyone in my house was appalled and I am sure many other homes felt the same outburst of disgust at that point!
Reg Empey came out the most measured and honest in my opinion. Even though he made a few digs at Robinson he still stayed quite calm. He suit was the only downer for me!
Robinson was very quiet in my opinion. He is a very confident and experienced politician and although he wasn't as vocal as usual he still showed his confidence through his answers. He looked very bemused at some of Gerry Adams answers but who wasn't!!!
Poor Margaret Ritchie though showed her inexperience. Most people who know me know that as much as I like Margaret personally she wasn't my choice for the new party leader and she proved my points last night. She doesn't have the speaking ability, knowledge, ability to retort, charisma or skill to fight back against the other leaders who much more experienced! I really wanted her to look up and fight back. Tell Adams she will give him answers when he gives answers, truthful answers, about his past in the IRA, locations of the disappeared and why he left his niece to flounder when finding out about the awful abuse she suffered.
All in all it was a poor showing on all fronts and I hope the next debate is an actual debate!

Response from Channel 4
Dear Ms Muldoon,
Thank you for contacting Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries.
This 7-part series follows on from our series CHRISTIANITY: A History which
was screened earlier this year on Channel 4. The series will explore the
history of The Bible drawing on the thoughts and experiences of seven
different contributors from very different backgrounds. In the series, Gerry
Adams will examine the life of Jesus.
From his perspective as a leading figure in the Irish Republican movement
throughout years of sectarian conflict and the subsequent peace process, and
as a former supporter of political violence, Adams will explore the
contradiction between Jesus' teachings and the involvement of Christians,
and followers of other faiths, in conflict the world over.
As part of the programme, he will be confronted by those who oppose his
views and will meet victims of violence from both sides of the sectarian
divide in Northern Ireland.
While we understand some viewers will have reservations about Adams'
inclusion in the series, we hope they will reserve judgement for the
programme.
Nevertheless, please be assured that your comments have been noted and
logged for the information of those responsible for our programming.
Thank you again for taking the time to contact us. We appreciate all
feedback from our viewers; complimentary or otherwise.
Regards,
Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries
I understand their position but I will not be watching this documentary! Very quick response. I am sure they have had a few complaints already!

Gerry Adam's search for Jesus!
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/8398219.stm
I said I would write about the Robinson Scandal and how I did enjoy that...but writing about it has taken a backseat. I am so disgusted with the Sinn Fein Scandal that I need to write about it before I lose my mind!
So when I heard that Gerry Adams was going to be on a Channel 4 series looking at the Bible and the search for Jesus/God I was absolutely horrified!
Why would Channel 4 chose such an abhorrent creature to talk about faith and the word of God, because lets face it...he himself has never followed any of the scriptures/teachings or even morals and values that the Bible states. I'm no God bothering bible basher but I have serious morals and values that would make my skin crawl just looking at this man and his "brethren".

Thou shalt not kill/murder! Don't think he remembered that one! Let's add another one shall we?
Thou shalt not cover up sexual and physical abuse!
So, my blood is now boiling! I sent a complaint to C4 to say that it is appalling that they would air this man's views on the Bible. Yes, he spouts his religious nonsense on a regular basis and heads up to Clonard every week (I'm surprised he isn't struck down as he crosses the threshold!) but this has gone too far! Where are the sensible people of the world saying "This Man shouldn't be allowed to get away with this!" "Step Down from Public life", etc etc....the Robinson's have done very little in comparison to what this man has covered up! Lies and Deception are his skills but we don't have to put up with it!
I will let you know if I get a response from Channel 4 but doubt anything would ever be done! To believe this man gets paid for this sacrilege!

(Liam Adams, the paedophile and his victim....his daughter Aine!)

Party Membership Regulations by SF
http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/local-national/adams-sf-didnrsquot-know-about-abuse-claims-14635152.html?r=RSS
So they don't want peadophiles as members of Sinn Fein!....yet baby killers, murderers, bombers, gun runners, racketeers and all other sorts of scum are widely accepted!
Can someone tell me why this is totally ridiculous to me?!
Can someone tell me why the people of Northern Ireland let these scum bags run the country?
I am baffled beyond words!
Is there help for NI out there anywhere?
Can there be some sort of alternative political situation where we are not dealing with this anymore?
Superman...where are you to save us?

Victory...well not quite!
So the election is well and truly over apart from the party on friday to thank all our wonderful volunteers.
How did it go? Well, overall the SDLP didn't do very well at all but personally Mum did pretty well. Her first preference votes were down 0.4% but her overall vote after transfers was up by 1%. Doesn't sound like much but it is great considering the area is mostly a Unionist area and the overall SDLP vote in Northern Ireland was down.
I supposed I should explain a bit more for my foreign friends. Basically this was a PR Election which basically means you vote for more than one person in a 1, 2, 3, 4 ..... order, with your favourite first. You don't have to vote for everyone but you can if you want to. Our number one votes were only 816 but then we were able to get votes from other people when they were elected or eliminated. For example we received 203 number 2 votes from a candidate who had been elected. So overall we reached nearly 2000 votes after all the votes were counted.
We had our first minor victory at about 8pm when we realised that our original 816 votes had risen to 1097 votes. This number led us to this first victory as we beat our closest rivals, Sinn Fein. That made me reallllllyyyyy happy! By the end of the count at about 2am we were the last to be eliminated and we had increased our overall vote which was another great little victory for us. It shows us that our work wasn't in vain and that we have more overall support in the area than we had thought. It means that we should be able to do more work and gain more ground in the future. Fingers crossed! It was also great that Sinn Fein were elimated first and that we beat them so substantially. Fantastic!
The election period, including the election day and count day, were very interesting. I can talk to anyone and even if I don't agree with their politics I can grin and bear it, smiling through gritted teeth. I was introduced to some hardliners and terrorists. I even met my aunt who is connected with an extreme political group aka dissident republicans aka murdering scum! I couldn't believe she would be so stupid to be involved with people like that but that's her choice and even though I don't agree with her I respect her right to choose. That is if she actually did make that choice herself. If I ever get married she won't be on the guest list...lol.
Seriously though it was an interesting time and I think I made a reputation for myself because I didn't even have to introduce myself to some people...they had already heard all about me...weird eh? I was quite taken aback but still don't know if it's a positive reputation or not...lol. I think a few old dudes were even trying it on with me...lol.
Overall it is a sad day for NI politics as it has descended into extremism. It is sad because the most powerful political parties are criminals and murderers. Question...If Saddam Hussein had turned around and said that he had changed his ways and wanted to be a democrat, would he still be alive? Would anyone have let him become a legitimate politician? I have no idea why the majority of voters here support criminals and mass murderers. I am still in shock! I really wish people would have some sense.
I will let you know about any developments in the future. But lets hope that things change in the future.

The Family Politican
No, it's not me! The family politician is my mum. She is standing again in the Assembly Elections in Northern Ireland. I thought I would put up some of the leaflets for you to see. If you look closely you will see Mum with Bill Clinton...lol. He looks very suave!

Celebrity Big Brother and Collusion
Strange mix eh? Well that's the news over here in the UK.
The Race issue in Big Brother has been a national and even international headline over the last few weeks. One of the Celebs is an Indian (Bollywood) Star and she was bullied and racial abused by some other less talented, insecure, nasty, ignorant Z-listers. It was very uncomfortable viewing! The good thing that has come out of it and one of the reasons I love Big Brother as a concept, is that it has been the ultimate social experiment and has brought a few serious issues to the public who have been able to speak out against issues that have needed attention and have gone nationally unvoiced for years. Often bullying and rascism are issues that are objective by nature and it is a he said/she said kind of situation. Often the bad guy of the piece escapes justice for whatever reason. Big Brother lets us see both sides of the story and the beginnings and endings. It also lets us have a say in the consequences. A similar thing happened in last summer’s BB with Grace being vilified as the “Bitch”. Let’s hope bully Jade isn’t able to recover from the nasty things she did which have murdered her pathetic career. I personally have boycotted her and her cronies.
The second big News Story is the Police Ombudsman Report into the Collusion between the Police in Northern Ireland (now called PSNI) and the Informers/Terrorists they were handling in the 90’s. It is an ugly issue and a problem that has been talked about for years but not totally proven. The report says collusion is a fact but further investigation is needed before anything will be done in terms of prosecution. Basically details and names are being withheld until investigations start into murder investigations, which have been hampered or affected by the police. I think it is despicable that we had/have a police force full of dirty cops. It is unfortunate and something the Nationalist community have talked about for years. It is something, which comes at a bad time for local politics. An election in March is the chance for us to move forward and have our own government and our own rights but in light of these findings I fear we will be thrown into the past again and will be locked into bigot wars. The past is the past and I wish we could all try to look past it and think about the positives like the investment coming from the Republic of Ireland, which could benefit us all. Lets hope extremist politics don’t last forever and the bigots will stay in the past where they belong.
Fingers Crossed!

Nothern Ireland + Peace Deal = Joke
Today is the deadline for the start of the devolution process in Northern Ireland. Now, for those of you who have no idea what Devolution means, basically it means that the Government of Northern Ireland would pass from the British Direct Rule system based in London to an Elected Government based in Northern Ireland. So in the end we would finally be able to have a say in our country and all the matters that affect our daily lives like Water Rates, Benefits, Education, Health, Paramilitary Issues and so on.
Of course we have had partially devolved government in NI before but it has lasted for only a minimum of time before the so-called politicians have ticked each other off and refused to be in the same room, therefore Direct Rule had to be reinstated again.
For many people in NI we are sick and tired of the circles that the politicians are taking us in and the farce that is convicted murderers and self confessed IRA members being voted into power. It is not all one sided and that was clear today as convicted murderer Michael Stone burst into the government buildings in Stormont with a gun, knife and incendiary device (turned out to be 8 bombs) and shouted "No Surrender". How the hell did he get through the door? Luckily he was apprehended and the place was evacuated.
Of course it seems as talks of Northern Ireland's future has been put on hold again! Surprise surprise. Not that they were getting anywhere anyway with Dr. Paisley making a farce of the situation.
Well, enough of my rant. If you are interested you can check out the link below. Will we have have devolved Government? Not until people get some education and stop listening to propaganda!!!!
